Yesterday I celebrated my second 25th birthday (that sounds so much better than 26th birthday, right?) haha I had such a great weekend celebrating with just a couple of close friends at Global Gourmet on Saturday night. The nicest part was that Quentin asked me where I wanted to go and arranged it all for me. I don't know why, but I always feel so awkward asking people to come hang out with me for my birthday. So, Quentin contacted two of my close girlfriends and their spouses and booked reservations for our party of 6 at the restaurant. I love this little restaurant tucked away in Carbondale. It's a cute urban little place with a menu that changes each weekend, so it's always something fresh. We had dinner and drinks, and of course birthday cake! I really enjoyed having a small group this year. It's so much easier with just a couple of people, so much less stress worrying if everyone is meshing well and everyone is entertained. It was just easy, and that's what I like!
On my actual birthday yesterday, I went to work and my office mate and friend, Melissa had decorated my desk with birthday balloons, confetti and a Happy Birthday banner. Our advertising agency had cupcakes for me at our weekly meeting, and my husband gifted me with my all time favorite perfume, Juicy Couture and a sweet card. We had appetizers in the evening at a local restaurant and rented the movie Moneyball, and just had a quiet night at home. P.s. Moneyball seemed like the longest. movie. ever. Maybe I was just tired, but I didn't care for it.
All in all, I had a great time turning 25 again. :)
