Recipe Swap Party Success!

Last night I hosted my Christmas recipe swap party, and it was such fun! We had a group of about 10 and some little ones too! It warms my heart to have a house full of guests. I set the scene with Christmas music playing in the background, warm Christmas candles burning and cider on the stovetop. Yum! I'll admit I had my table set and place settings ready two days before the party because I really did not want to stress about it last night. Since I had it on a weeknight, I had to get home from work and only do last minute prep like putting my home made mac n cheese dish together and simmering the cider.

We had what seemed like a hodgepodge of food, but somehow it all worked and everyone left with bellies full of delicious food! Here is what our menu looked like:

Homemade mac n cheese courtesy of Mandy at House of Rose
Broccoli salad
Vegetable beef soup
BBQ pork sandwiches
Cheese ball
Cream cheese corn
Baked mostaccoli
Taco salad
Chex mix
Ding dong dessert
Black pepper cake
Cinnamon rolls

It was ah-mazing! I will be sharing the Ding Dong Dessert recipe on my blog, it was absolutely fantastic!
