Yesterday our niece, Emberlie turned one. I can't believe it! Seems like just yesterday we were waiting to meet her at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Unfortunately Quentin couldn't get off of work (holiday season and retail, you know) so I made the trip by myself. My brother and sister-in-law are about 1hour 45mins away so it wasn't too bad. She had a Hello Kitty themed party and her mommy did such a great job with her first party. She had a cute little box set up for all the guests to write a little note to Emberlie that she can read in a few years, which I thought was really special and something she'll be able to treasure. Of course I managed to snap a few photos of the birthday girl. Such a cutie. :)

They really do grow up so fast!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I have lots of holiday activities coming up over the next couple weeks. Work Christmas parties, church Christmas parties, Secret Santa with my co-workers. I love it. Gets me in the holiday spirit!
