Quentin's Bday Weekend

My recap of Quentin's birthday weekend comes a little late this time, but better late than never, right? I'll get right to it.

Friday evening I had to "work" at a Gin Blossoms concert we hosted at our venue. Work for me consisted of introducing the 3 opening acts and the Gin Blossoms before they hit the stage. SO much fun! I managed to find a pretty cute outfit in our sad little mall at The Buckle. I don't have a photo that does it justice (or shows my killer shoes), but here is a photo of Quentin and I that evening. (OMG my hair is so long!) Doesn't Quentin look nice in his new shirt I gave him as an early birthday present?

Saturday was his actual birthday, and we had such a great day together. I gave him his gifts first thing in the morning- a huge gift bag full of new shoes and clothes for fall. I think he genuinely liked them all, which is not easy. My husband is a picky man. haha He had requested a pumpkin pie instead of birthday cake, so I baked his pumpkin pie and we headed to the SIU football game and enjoyed the beautiful fall afternoon. After the game, we headed to Thai Taste for dinner and then to the movies to see Drive (with Ryan Gossling, SO good!).

Sunday we went to church and had lunch with Quentin's parents to celebrate his birthday and got to see our lovely little nieces too, Eden and Lilly. We (meaning Quentin) enjoyed the rest of the day on our couch watching Sunday football. I found that so fascinating I took a 2 hour nap. haha

All in all, we had a fantastic weekend and I am so happy I got to spend another birthday with my sweet husband.

This weekend we're going to the SIU homecoming football game and heading to St. Louis for the Go! St. Louis Halloween 10k, which I am super super excited about. We're staying with my brother and sister-in-law, so we'll get to see them and little Emberlie while we're there. Pictures to come!

Thank you for reading!
