I have been so busy at work lately I haven't had a chance to post about the Halloween 10k that I ran in St. Louis with my friend Melissa last weekend. We're gearing up for our half marathon (Melissa's first!) next weekend in Indianapolis, and I thought the 10k would be a great way to get a run in together and get some of Melissa's nerves out of the way before the big race. I did the Halloween 10k last year as well and it was a blast. Although we didn't dress up, there were so many people in funny costumes, and it just made it fun rather than serious and competitive. We got really nice Brooks technical shirts and a really cool medal at the finish line, all keeping with the Halloween theme.
Quentin and I spent the night with my brother and sister-in-law for the race weekend since they live just about 30 minutes from the city. After the race, we all got the chance to hang out and spend some time together. This little lady gets bigger and sweeter every time I see her.

I'm looking forward to the Monumental Half Marathon in Indianapolis next weekend. It's been a long 3 months of training, but it will all be worth it at the finish line.
Thanks for reading.
